You should have experience of working as a Technician, should have minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field, some examples of suitable roles* would include:

• Electronics Engineer/ Technician
• Repair and routine maintenance activity
• Oil and gas Petroleum engineer/ Technician
• Diagnostic testing Principal / Supervisor
• Supervisor or site supervision
• Electrician, or electrical contractor
• Inspector
• Sole trader

The highest category of IET membership you can apply for, we award Fellowship to the high achievers – those respected professionals at the forefront of engineering, technology, or cognate disciplines for at least five years or more.
