To become a CBPEDU Professional member (PCBPEDU), you’ll need at least five year’s work experience or relevant qualifications, or a combination of qualifications and experience.
By Professional work experience we mean being professionally engaged in any aspect of a building, maintaining, managing or operating IT or the teaching/training of these activities on a full-time basis.
You’ll need to detail your work experience specifying job role(s), time period in the role(s), and relevant tasks and responsibilities including
You’ll have the option to provide this information by uploading your CV.
If you hold a CBPEDU-accredited degree or a CBPEDU Professional Graduate Diploma in IT, you’re eligible to apply for Professional membership, without work experience.
Holding a non-CBPEDU-accredited degree, or CBPEDU Professional Certification reduces your required work experience to three years.
Our online application lets you check your qualifications and guides you to your most appropriate membership grade.
We’ll need the details of a Referee who can comment on your competence and experience to verify your application. Please provide a Referee Supporting Form completed.
They should be working at the same level as you or above, and able to offer a reliable opinion of your work performance.
Referees are typically employers, colleagues or clients (sorry, no relatives). Please speak to your Referee in advance to confirm they’re happy to verify your application and for CBPEDU to hold their details for the purposes of CBPEDU membership assessment and quality control.
